The department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the University Hospital Ghent has a strong international reputation. Regularly we receive requests from international centers and doctors to follow a specific additional training in our service.
Foreign plastic surgeons rotate on a regular basis to learn specific reconstructive or aesthetic techniques. They come to our center for a few weeks or are being selected for a fellowship for 3 months to 1 year.
The Stephen S. Kroll Fellowship is a very popular and wanted fellowship in our department, which is offered on a competitive base to young international surgeons who wish to obtain additional postgraduate training and specialization in microsurgical breast reconstruction, especially the DIEP-flap technique. For more information, consult also www.beautifulABC.com, section education.
If you wish to apply for a visit or fellowship, please contact the coordinating secretary, Mrs. Ann Simoens by mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
